DEEW: Dreka, you’re known for having a busy schedule and always being on the go to different red carpet events. How does cannabis fit into your day-to-day routine?

Dreka : I have an extremely busy schedule and spend a lot of time on planes and in different time zones. It can be difficult to really drop in and focus or even get a good night’s rest at times. I may take cannabis to help me stay focused during a meeting or when i need to brainstorm and come up with different creatives. It just depends on the task.

DEEW: What about the rest of your day? Do you switch it up?

Dreka: Yes, I definitely switch it up. It depends on the task at hand and just really how I’m feeling. There’s literally something for everything, whether I need to relax and be present, need to focus, need to sleep, need a mood booster… beautiful thing is that this plant can do all of these things!

DEEW: How about when it’s time to wind down?

Dreka:I love to consume cannabis in the evenings, in my down time because I mostly use it to help me to drop in and clear my mind. It’s a GREAT stress reliever for me. It gets me in my zone. I’m a Virgo, a thinker, so I can have the tendency to be in my head a lot and cannabis helps with that a lot!

DEEW: What would you say is your favorite thing about cannabis?

Dreka: It’s such a beautiful, healing plant and can be consumed in SO MANY different ways. If you’re not a smoker, there are several options from tinctures to edibles to topicals and it’s ALL safe. It is impossble to overdose from cannabis alone.

DEEW: When you think of wellness, how would you explain to others the way cannabis products play a role?

Dreka: Cannabis is a plant. It is an amazing alternative to traditional prescription meds and can play a major role in your wellness routine regardless of whether you deal with chronic pain, depresson, inflammation, anxiety, inability to focus, insomnia, headaches… I mean the list goes on and on. It can be used to tap into your creative energy or even give you the ability to just relax and drop in and be present and in the moment. ‘ve seen this plant transform and heal so many people. It’s my goal to continue to educate and open the world up to such an amazing, healing plant.
